Trusting in the process, just like a jazz-musician would do. My goal was to create a print that was, for the most part, made out of coincidence. To reflect the way a lot of jazz tunes are built; by improvisation. It simply started off with painting the word 'jazz' on a piece of paper. Where after I chose to manipulate the piece op paper with a copier, by shifting the print around, it created new unforeseen forms. I produced around 80 different shapes, and ended up with this swaying motion. Inspired by the sunset, where the light bounces off of gentle waves. As I attempted to capture my affection for the warmth and vibrancy of jazz music. The print was sold as merchandise in the form of t-shirts, fridge magnets and the poster itself.
